IQ Tests Are One Reason I Don't Trust AI

REMEMBER IQ TESTS?

Stick with me here for a minute or two.

One of the (if not the main) reasons I shy away from Artificial Intelligence (AI) (which is not even a real thing, but that is another discussion) is because, unlike the woke crowd, I don't reject completely the legitimacy of IQ tests. That having been said, it stands to reason that AI will always reflect the breadth, width, depth and sources of learning of the various individuals who are developing the AI programs (i.e., their IQ's).

(And by the way, does it not bother people that multiple AI programs and models are being developed, thereby suggesting that there are many types of intelligence around any particular topic?)

In short, AI will always reflect the collective IQ's of its developers. And I would venture to say that it will also reflect the EQ's (Emotional Quotient) of its developers.

The key idea here is when I mentioned the breadth, width, depth and sources of learning of each AI developer. In short, I am asked to trust the collective wisdom of a bunch of people whose individual sources of knowledge, as well as their theology, their social values, their ethics and their morals are based on God-only-knows-what. Given that in today's world that not even the laws of biology or physics are fixed, asking any AI model a serious question about any topic seems to be an extremely risky business.

If you have a serious question that needs a serious answer, it behooves you to know a good deal about the person, or collective persons, to whom you address your question. Are they Christian or pagan? Have they ever read the Bible, or nothing but the books provided by government schools? Do they love abortion, or do they love life? Do they believe in Darwinian evolution or in Divine Creation? Are they moral relativists or atheists? Whatever shapes and guides their consciences, their moral compasses, their compassions, their convictions will shape the way they develop their AI programs and the answers that AI provides.

If you have a serious or deep question—if you are truly puzzled by some concept or event in life—it is best to seek RI (Real Intelligence), and it is best to consider the source, whether that source is a person (face-to-face), or persons collectively (social media or AI).

Intelligence is like Wisdom. It is either from God and His Word (Real), or from humanist sources (Artificial). I prefer a system and answers that are informed by the former.
